David Trezeguet plans on making this season a very special one for Juventus. After ten years with Juve, the forward is planning on leaving the club this summer despite still being under contract until 2012.
The SATO Most Disappointing Player last season has no gripes with the organization; he simply wants to live with his family in a more familiar place. The thirty-two year old expressed interest in finishing out his career in either Argentina or France (the two places his family was originally from). Wherever Trezeguet decides to go, we hear at the SATO, think he will have a huge impact.
And like all great players Trezeguet doesn’t want to fade away from Serie A and would prefer a grand exit into the sunset. Trezeguet was ineffective for Juve last season, but the former Golden Boot winner hopes to return the club to greatness and claim the Serie A title before he departs. The forward speaking about his tenth and final year in Italy:
This is a very important year for me, and I want to end it with a win. My story is almost done here and I think now is the right time to leave. My contract won’t be a problem, (coach) Ciro Ferrera is already aware of my decision. Nobody has asked me to leave, this is something I’ve thought about for some time and I want to bow out with a title.
Trezeguet knows nothing beats a ten year anniversary like a Serie A title.
