Maurizio Sarri insists there is ‘no need to clarify anything’ with Cristiano Ronaldo as he confirmed the striker would miss Juventus’s clash with Atalanta.
Ronaldo and Sarri appeared to clash before the international break, with the Portugal captain substituted twice in the space of four days in matches against Lokomotiv Moscow and Milan.
Ronaldo cleared things up while speaking to media while away on duty with his country, and his manager has now also waded in to say there is nothing to be said between the pair.
There’s no need to clarify anything with Ronaldo. Certain players need to be left to cool off,’ he said ahead of this weekend’s clash.
Sarri also added that the player would miss their Serie A match, despite playing for his country and helping Portugal reach Euro 2020 during the break.
‘The problem is that on Tuesday, he told us that he was still not feeling well.
‘Our objective is to have him back for the Champions League. I’m 99 percent sure he won’t make it tomorrow.’
