Radja NainggolanChelsea are confident that Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan will be incoming manager Antonio Conte’s first signing. Talks between the clubs are at an advanced stage and an agreement over a proposed £26m (€33m) deal is close.

The Belgium international has been earmarked by Conte as a priority capture this summer as he looks to revamp his midfield options.

Sources close to Nainggolan believe the deal will be completed before Euro 2016, after which the 27-year-old will join up with his new club for pre-season.

Nainggolan began his career with Piacenza having played youth football for Germinal Beerschot in his homeland.

Nainggolan then moved to Roma in 2014 and has made more than 100 appearances for the Serie A side.
