Ricky Alvarez Growing Confidence, Still Believes In Inter's Title Shot

Ricky AlvarezStarting the season in an unconvincing manner, Inter Milan’s summer signing, Ricky Alvarez, seems to believe that his fortune will soon change especially after he scored his first goal for the club in the Champions League tie against Trabzonspor last Tuesday.

Alvarez, who was brought in from Velez this June, now hopes that he can also win titles with the Nerazzurri, adding that doing it this season is still not too late for the Nerazzurri.

Despite still sitting in the bottom halves of the league but the success their having in Europe apparently raises Alvarez believes that his team can still finish in the top halves of Serie A, especially if they keep on improving. The Argentinian international thinks that Inter have started to improve their performance in the last few matches, including in the league, where their final match resulted in a controversial 2-1 victory over Cagliari.

“I’m grateful to the fans for their affection. There’s still a lot I have to improve on but I’ll make them proud; that’s a promise. I want to win lots of trophies with Inter. We want to win Serie A and the Champions League,” Alvarez said. “We’re playing better and we can get better still. We have to play more and much better, but we’re already starting to find more balance and produce better football; we’re starting to look like the real Inter. We’re all hungry for success.

Moreover, Alvarez also admitted that one of the reasons for his late adaptation with the team is because he hasn’t really understand Italian language that much which eventually leading him into communicating more with Inter’s Argentinian boys instead of the others. However, the ex-Velez midfielder promised to improve everything including his language so that he can eventually live up to some of the hype that followed his arrival at Inter this summer.

“I’m grateful to the fans for their affection. There’s still a lot I have to improve on but I’ll make them proud; that’s a promise. I want to win lots of trophies with Inter. We want to win Serie A and the Champions League. We’re playing better and we can get better still. We have to play more and much better, but we’re already starting to find more balance and produce better football; we’re starting to look like the real Inter,” Alvarez added. “It’s(Serie A) different from the football in Argentina. The game is faster here and there’s less time to think. I know it’s different here but I’ll do my best to learn so that I can enjoy myself.”
