Carlo Ancelotti Posts Touching Farewell Message After Napoli Sacking

Carlo Ancelotti admitted he had a ‘unforgettable experience’ at Napoli, in a touching farewell message following his sacking as manager.

The Italian was shown the door despite in the Champions League and qualifying for the knockout stages.

The parting of ways followed at the club and a poor run of domestic form which has seen Napoli drop to seventh in the Serie A table – but Ancelotti was grateful for the 18 months he had in charge.

‘I would like to personally thank the Club, its employees, my players, my staff and the president for the opportunity to live an unforgettable experience in a wonderful city such as Naples,’ Ancelotti Awrote on his personal Instagram page.

The 60-year-old, who has won the Champions League three times as a manager, has already been linked with a return to the Premier League and the vacant posts at Arsenal and Everton.

Ancelotti won the domestic double whilst at Chelsea in 2010, but was sacked a year later – he has also coached Juventus, AC Milan, PSG, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in a distinguished career.
