Mixed Bag For Serie A Sides In Europa League Draw

In Monday’s Europa League round of 32 draw, it was a mixed draw for Italy’s Serie A sides.

Juventus director Pavel Nedved isn’t overly enthusiastic about about another trip to Turkey as Juve were drawn against Trabzonspor in the last 32.

“I’m not that happy about having to go to Turkey again,” Nedved told TMW on Monday. “Things haven’t gone too well for us there in the recent past.

“It will be a tough and long away trip. We will have to find the right motivation to play it as Juventus.”

Fiorentina meet Esbjerg and if the two Serie A sides win, they will meet each other in the round of 16.

Napoli have been drawn against Premier League side Swansea, and while Napoli chief Aurelio De Laurentiis respects Swansea, but thinks the Azzurri have what it takes to progress in the Europa League.

“Swansea are a good side, but we have a chance to qualify and we must win,” the movie mogul was quoted as saying on UEFA.com.

“Rafael Benitez, our Coach, knows Premier League football better than anybody else, so this could be an advantage for us.

“We just need patience because we are building something very strong at Napoli.”

Finally Lazio have been drawn against Ludogorets Razgrad.
