Manchester United midfielder is desperate to leave the Premier League club, but with his options limited as to where he can go, Juventus seen an opportunity to launch a sneaky bid for their former player.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus have offered United €60m cash plus Emre Can for the world cup winner. Since United value Pogba at around €160m, that means that Juventus are valuing Can at around €100m. A laughable amount for a player that Maurizio Sarri doesn’t want.
Rumours of a potential comeback to Turin have surrounded the 26-year-old France international ever since he left for €105m in August 2016.
He is known to be frustrated with the situation at Old Trafford and has made only seven competitive appearances this season, with a recurring ankle issue.
According to Tuttosport newspaper, Juventus will try to bring Pogba back in the January window, rather than wait for the summer where there would be more competition from the rest of Europe’s big clubs.
Juventus are struggling under new coach Maurizio Sarri, who requires a stronger midfield presence to support the trident attack of Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Another alternative for Emre Can would be going to Paris Saint-Germain in exchange for Leandro Paredes, but naturally Pogba would be preferred.
