Juventus are reportedly eyeing a summer move for Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus.
Maurizio Sarri is keen to add to his attacking options, even with Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain at his disposal in Turin.
But Tuttosport report that Sarri is a fan of Jesus and that the Brazilian’s versatility across the attack is one of the key areas that has left the Juventus boss impressed, leading to the potential for a €70million summer move.
Sergio Aguero is the undisputed attacking option for Pep Guardiola at City and so Juventus would need to assure Jesus of regular minutes if he was to leave the Premier League champions come the summer.
He joined the club in 2017 from Palmeiras and has gone on to net 61 goals in 133 games for the club.
City’s two-year ban by UEFA from the Champions League has seen rivals target their key players but with the club appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, this could complicate any incomings and outgoings.
esus’ deal at the Etihad Stadium runs until June 2023 and so he would not be allowed to depart cheaply, if Juventus go ahead and firm up their interest with a bid.
He has been limited to just 12 starts for City this season but has risen to the occasion and proven his talents, netting 16 goals in 33 matches this term.
The club have become used to dominating domestically and so their relative struggles this season has alerted chiefs to the need to add greater quality to the side for 2020-21.
