Aaron Ramsey is set to leave Arsenal in the summer when his contract expires. He was reportedly happy to stay in north London, however contract renewal talks collapsed in 2018 when he was seeking a better deal.
Juventus chief Fabio Paratici said in an interview with Sky Sports Italy that Ramsey is an ‘excellent player.’
‘He’s an excellent player. For years he’s been performing at a top level,’ said Paratici. ‘His contract is expiring and we are always attentive to the potential developments. So he falls in that category.
‘Will he join us in the summer? That remains to be seen.
‘At the moment he’s an Arsenal player, certainly we aren’t the only ones following him.’
Juventus are among a number of clubs seeking the Welshman’s services, including PSG, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and Bayern Munich.
It’s Juventus that seems Ramsey’s most likely destination though, as the 28-year-old is said to be ‘increasingly interested’ in a move to Turin.
Aaron Ramsey is now open to negotiate and sign a pre-contract with foreign sides. It’s unlikely anyone will take him off Arsenal’s hands during the January transfer window, as the club is thought to be asking for €40 million for him to leave in the middle of the campaign.
