A story that will make the blue half of Milan furious. According to the Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan are working hard to sign Real Madrid and former Inter midfielder Mateo Kovacic on loan for next season.
The Rossoneri’s joint-CEO and transfer market guru Adriano Galliani was in Madrid last Wednesday, where he watched the Champions League game between Real Madrid and Manchester City.
According to the newspaper, Galliani and Real Madrid President Florentino Perez met to discuss the future of the Croatian midfielder.
Kovacic moved from Inter to Real for €29m last summer, but has failed to make an impact at the Santiago Bernabéu. The 22-year-old has only started 8 La Liga games this season, and has barely been on the pitch for 1,000 minutes this season.
But Perez is not ready to give up on Kovacic and is apparently willing to send him back to Serie A for another year of seasoning,
