Juventus looks to be setting themselves up for the future especially preparing for life after Gianluigi Buffon as rumors in Italy claimed that they already secured the signature of highly rated Italian young keeper, Nicola Leali.
Italian media suggested that the Turin giant have already agreed on a fee around 5 million Euro with Leali’s club, Brescia, and the youngster is set to join the Bianconeri starting from next summer.
Should this rumors turned out to be true, Juventus could really captured themselves another diamond as Leali has been highly linked with several top clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Sporting Lisbon and even Barcelona. The Bianconeri seemingly tried to reprise their past success on grabbing Buffon from Parma few seasons ago, with the hope that the young Brescian shot stopper can replicate his senior’s career in the future.
However, considering his current young age, it’s very unlikely that Leali will immediately trusted in replacing Buffon especially since the veteran goalie still manage to perform in the highest level both for Juventus and also the Italian national team. That’s why, the 18-years-old might be given some small role or maybe getting playing time in the primavera team before the management feels that he is ready for first team action.
Nevertheless it would be interesting to see what will happen with Leali should Juve does signs him next summer, as in the past few seasons, the Turin giant haven’t really had that much of success in promoting their youngsters into the first team. There are plenty young talents that eventually goes and shine elsewhere such as Domenico Criscito or even Antonio Nocerino, who previously being touted as the Old Lady’s future.
