Wenger’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and while there are reports that the Gunners long-term manager has bene given an offer of a two-year contract extension, there have been rumors as far back as last summer that this would be Wenger’s last season in charge at the Emirates.
Wenger has come under immense pressure from Arsenal supporters this season after a season which promised so much, but has ultimately disappointed again. With no chance of winning the league, on the verge of exiting the Champions League in the last 16 once again, Arsenal fans are left to cheer a possible FA Cup win and a top four finish.
The reports out of Italy suggest that Allegri has told friends at a dinner that he will give everything to the final months of the season with Juventus before succeeding Wenger in the summer.
Allegri still has 18 months to run on his existing deal with Juventus but reportedly reached an agreement with the club at the start of the year that would allow him to move on at the end of the current campaign.
Allergi would bring something to Arsenal that has been missing for seasons now. And that is a thirst to win. Allegri won the Serie A title in his first season at AC Milan. And the awards have been coming thick and fast since making the switch to Juventus. He has picked up a further two Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia trophies and even won the coveted Serie A Coach of the Year award an impressive three times.
Simply put, Allegri is a serial winner – and Arsenal have been serial losers in recent years.
