Inter have reached an agreement with Monaco over the transfer of transfer of attacker Keita Balde and the Monaco winger will have his Inter medical on Monday.
Keita will join Inter on a €5 million loan deal with the transfer being made permanent for €34 million at the end of the season.
Keita, who was omitted from Monaco’s squad for their first league match of the season, will sign a one year contract and will be linked to the Nerazzurri club for a further four seasons if they trigger their redemption option for him.
That contract is reported to be worth around €3 million net per year.
The deal has been worked out after Monaco Vice-President Vadim Vasilyev confirmed advanced talks.
“Yes, we are negotiating with the Nerazzurri,” Vasilyev told beIN Sports France.
“There are still some details to be whittled down, so I can’t say the deal is done, but we are on the right track.”
It seems that over the last few hours, those final details were sorted out and Keita is on his way.
The signing of Keita has ramifications for both Antonio Candreva and Yann Karamoh. Candreva was originally to be part of a loan swap deal for Keita, but the Inter winger is hesitant to move to the sun of Monaco.
If Candreva stays at Inter then Karamoh will go out on loan for the season to ensure regular playing time, something that can not be guaranteed if both Keita Balde and Candreva are part of Spalletti’s squad.
What do you think of Keita Balde? Do you think he is a good signing?
