It will be hard to see Inter Milan pick themselves up from there latest setback after going down 1-0 to Udinese yesterday in a result that leaves them in 15th place on the Serie A table with 2/3 of the season left to play.
Currently 13 points off the pace set by leaders and city rivals Milan, Inter need to start wining if they are too force their way into the top half of the table. However, by the look of it, the Nerazzurri won’t have an easy ride.
In fact getting into the top half is one thing, they also have to fight for a top four finish if they want to play in the Champions League next season. Napoli, Udinese and Lazio are however proving that they are among the 5 best teams by right and not luck.
So its another loss for Inter and Claudio Ranieri. Ranieri could however claim that the scoreline does not reflect the true picture of the match, the truth is, at the end of the game the only thing that matters is the result.
Speaking after the match, Udinese Coach Francesco Guidolin explained his delight at Pazzini’s penalty miss.
“When Pazzini was about to take the penalty I was really hoping (goalkeeper Samir) Handanovic could do something,”
