Several reports suggest that Inter have beaten of Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool and haver agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce left-back Caner Erkin. Erkin, who can also play as a left wing-back, will be out of contract from this summer.
According to Mediaset Premium, Erkin has accepted the proposed four-year deal worth €2.5m per season from Inter.
Erkin’s agent Batur Altiparmak has played down all previous reports regarding a move to Inter but he has yet to comment on the latest link.
“Recently, there were some rumours Erkin had already signed a deal with Inter, but I don’t know anything about that at the moment,” Altiparmak told Turkish-football.com.
“I listen to all the teams who want to discuss a move. I work like that but I don’t finalise or talk publicly about anything without informing the club first.”
The 27-year-old’s arrival confirms Alex Telles will be returned to Galatasaray following his loan spell with option to buy.
It appears that Roberto Mancini is getting his summer shopping done early this year, with reports that Inter have also agreed to personal terms with Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega, who is also available on a bossman.
