Alisson has been heavily linked with a move to Jurgen Klopp’s side after impressing throughout the season and was a key player for Roma as they reached the Champions League semi-final.
Despite the strong form of Loris Karius in recent months, Klopp is still on the look out for a new No 1 with worries still existing over the German and his goalkeeping rival Simon Mignolet.
However, ahead of Roma’s final Serie A match of the season against Sassuolo on Sunday, Di Francesco has reassured his club’s supporters that Alisson will stay put this summer.
The 48-year-old, who returns to his former club Sassuolo after leaving them last year, said at his pre-match press conference:
‘I am relaxed, as Monchi and Morgan De Sanctis can replace him easily!
‘Look, nothing is definitive in football, but I am convinced that from what I can tell Alisson will remain here at Roma.
‘He won’t play tomorrow, as he has a muscular problem, so Lukasz Skorupski will start.’
Brazil international Alisson has kept 17 clean sheets for Roma this season in the Italian top flight. Roma sit third in the league, two points ahead of Lazio in fourth with just one match remaining.
