All Juventus wants for X-mas is a swimming pool full of Ensure for their aging players. Out of all the top squads in Italy, Juventus may be the one most prone to watching reruns of the show Matlock. With Del Pierro, Trezeguet, and Buffoon leading the squad pretty soon Juve will need signs in the stadium tunnel reminding their experienced players of which direction the pitch is.
But although I do enjoy teasing Juve for their well aged players, these men are still some of the best players in the world and deserve credit for their many years of excellent top level service. Soon Juve will need to replace these stars with younger ones (like their move for Diego this year), but for now they need their medical staff to be on the top of their game. With injuries across the board, Juve needs to add not only one player, but several if they want to keep championship level depth. Winger Camoranesi is out for at least a few months and needs to be replaced. Just don’t replace him with Angela Lansbury or Wilford Brimley, please.
All Atalanta wants for X-mas is a relegation zone pass for the year. It is kind of like the Get Out of Jail Free card in Monopoly, but the relegation zone pass would assure avoiding relegation no matter how terrible your team was. And make no mistake, so far this season Atalanta has been terrible. They possess one of the worst offenses and defenses along with one of the worst records in the league at home and on the road. In other words the team will likely not have a very good X-mas/transfer window because when you are as bad as Atalanta nobody wants to come to your squad anyway.
