AC Milan Forced To Play Udinese Match Behind Closed Doors

ac-milan-fansAC Milan must play their next home match behind closed doors after fans were found guilty of “insulting” chanting towards Juventus fans.

The FIGC issued the punishment on Monday following the Rossoneri’s 3-2 weekend loss at the Juventus Stadium.

Milan, who were also fined €50,000 mmediately announced they will appeal against the decision because it has ‘no justification’.

If unsuccessful, the San Siro will be shut for Milan’s next match against Udinese on 20 October.

It is the second time this season that Milan have been punished for the racially discriminatory behaviour of their fans, and according to reinforced rules from the summer, rather than only having a section of the San Siro closed, as was the case for their recent clash with Sampdoria, the entire stadium will be shut for the visit of Udinese on October 19.

Serie A has clamped down on racist and discriminatory chants this season, with three other clubs, Roma, Lazio and Inter Milan, receiving partial stadium bans after their fans abused black players.
