Vucinic Flirts With Napoli

Having a rather poor season so far, As Roma looked to be abandoned by some of their important players next summer as after reports suggesting that Phelipe Mexes is already set to join Ac Milan in June, another important act, Mirko Vucinic, could also flee from Olympico. It’s not a secret that the Montenegro international has been approached by many clubs, and recently his agent spark more speculation after admitting that Vucinic would be interested in moving to Napoli.

Speaking with Radio CrC, the agent, Alessandro Lucci, stated that although at the moment Vucinic is still happy in Rome but should they’ll be a serious interest from Napoli, the striker won’t hesitate to negotiate. Lucci believes that with the Partenopei’s good improvement in the past few seasons, they could be a strong team in the future and becoming part of a competitive squad is also something that his client would be interested in.

The boy has a contract until 2013 with Roma. He is happy in the team and has a good relationship with the club. However, nothing is impossible in football and Napoli is certainly a fascinating place. I believe that Napoli are a team on an upward curve, also on a level of realising they can reach important objective,” Lucci said.

Moreover, Lucci also added that the possibility of playing alongside Ezequiell Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani would be an interesting option for Vucinic as combining with those two exciting attackers could formed such a lethal trio up front. However, despite opening the chance for a move from the capital side, the agent also stated everything regarding’s his client’s future will also depends on the decision of the Roma’s possible new board next summer. Should the new board have a positive plan in building the team and making the Montenegro international as part of it, than the ex-Lecce striker might still continue his adventure with the Giallorossi.

“I think an attack composed of Edinson Cavani, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Vucinic would be devastating and unbeatable as a trio. These three footballers together would be the best attacking trident in Europe,” Lucci added. “At the moment we don’t know what will happen at Roma. We need to understand the scenarios that could be after the takeover. It’s premature to talk about the sales of footballers or potential investments.”
