Marek Hamsik Opens Door For Milan's Move

Camiseta conmemorativa del MilánBeing an important actor in the rise of Napoli in the past few seasons, which finally resulting in the Southern Italian club’s success this season by getting into the Champions League zone, Marek Hamsik, confessed that he is might opted to move for bigger challenge next summer.

The player stated the possibilities as he answered questions regarding the current speculation about Ac Milan’s interest on acquiring him next season.

Hamsik revealed that should a legit offer arrives from the Rossoneri, he would immediately discuss it with the Napoli boards before deciding anything but the Slovak did hinted that he might consider leaving should such a opportunity arrive. Acknowledging that Napoli are still a work in progress, the midfielder admitted that in expanding his career, he would like to join a bigger club that could regularly challenge for domestic title and also European glories.

“It’s wonderful that Milan are interested in me, of course, but I am accustomed to the newspapers writing things that don’t come true,” said Hamsik. “If an offer arrived then I’d have to talk to Napoli first. I would like to try playing for a club that regularly challenges for the Scudetto and Champions League.”

The Slovakian’s words can pretty much be considered as a come and get me plea towards the Rossoneri, without trying to act disrespectful towards his current club, who have been really influential in getting his career the way it is. Surely it won’t be easy for Milan to acquire the midfielder especially since Napoli are very keen in getting themselves back as title challengers next season, and giving away one of their important players to their rival wouldn’t actually be a good idea for them.

However, should Milan are really serious and Hamsik is eager in experiencing a new challenge with the Rossoneri, the chance for Milan fans in seeing the Slovakian in the Red and Black jersey would be big. With the departure of Andrea Pirlo and possibly Clarence Seedorf, the Scudetto winner are very eager in getting new quality midfield players to replace those quality “senatores”, who have been a key part in the team from the early 2000 era.
