Juventus Announces American Tour

JuveIt was a little surprising that with all the big names touring the U.S. this summer, that no Italian were involved. Well that changed with the news that Juventus, the 27-time Italian champion, will play three friendlies in America in late July.

Only one of the three games has been formally announced and it is a good one. Juventus will take on Mexican team Club America on July 26 at Citi Field, the home of Major League Baseball’s New York Mets. Buy Juventus v Club America Tickets

Juventus will be conducting its preseason training out of Philadelphia from July 19 to August 1. The other two opponents for Juventus have not been announced yet, but I think it is safe to say that those games will take place on the east coast.

The tour will allow Juve’s newly hired manager Antonio Conte to familiarize himself with a squad that finished a disappointing seventh in Serie A last season.

But with a squad full of veterans like Alessandro del Piero, Gianlugi Buffon, Fabio Grosso, Luca Toni and Vincenzo Iaquinta, Conte and Juve fans are hoping that this season “The Old Lady” will once again be challenging for honors in Italy.
