Juventus has added a second date to its upcoming U.S. pre-season tour and they will meet legendary Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon at BMO Field in Toronto on July 23 (7 pm ET kickoff).
Juventus had previously announced that they will meet Mexican side on July 26 at Citi Field in Queens, N.Y.,
Sporting Clube de Portugal, meanwhile, have won 18 national championship titles and 15 national cups, while also appearing in UEFA Champions League matches 17 times, and in eight UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup matches. They’re led by forward Hélder Postiga, who has 40 caps with the Portuguese national team, and central defender and captain Daniel Carriço. Read more... It was a little surprising that with all the big names touring the U.S. this summer, that no Italian were involved. Well that changed with the news that Juventus, the 27-time Italian champion, will play three friendlies in America in late July.
Only one of the three games has been formally announced and it is a good one. Having a rather difficult season with plenty of injuries troubling him, Fiorentina’s Gaetano D’Agostino’s future at the club looks a bit uncertain since he only managed 12 starts this season and with his co-ownership status with Udinese, there’s always a chance that he might return to Friuli.
However, according to D’agostino’s agent, Paolo Rodella, stated that his client is much more keen on continuing his adventure with the Viola next season instead of returning with the Bianconeri.

May will be a great month for soccer fans in the windy city. Last week we announced that Chicago will host the Sister Cities International Cup involving the Chicago Fire Welcome Legia Warsaw, Paris Saint-Germain and Red Star Belgrade.

Juventus got the break they so dearly needed when they beat Parma 2-1 at the Stadio Ennio Tardini yesterday. However, don’t let the score line fool you. The Bianconeri needed an own goal to help them bag all the 3 points.
