Newly cash-loaded Frech side, Paris Saint-Germain is the club being confirmed as the Argentinian starlet’s buyer, a deal reportedly only lacking official statement from both PSG and Palermo, apparently could become the largest money signing so far this summer should the deal gets finalized.

PSG to ‘Steal’ Palermo’s Sirigu From Genoa?

Genoa’s interest on Palermo’s keeper, Salvatore Sirigu, might not materialized at all after latest reports from Italy suggested that newly rich French outfit, Paris Saint-Germain, have already made an interesting offer for the Italian international keeper.

Reports from TMW claimed that PSG sent a 3,5 million Euro offer for Sirigu to the Sicilian and ready to give the keeper a four year deal, worth about 1,5 million Euro per-season.

PSG Join Chelsea In Pastore Sweepstakes

Paris St Germain are ready to make Palermo playmaker Javier Pastore their headline signing of the summer and will now battle Chelsea for his signature.

Chelsea were assumed to be in the pole position to sign Pastore after Palermo vice-president Guglielmo Micciche said last week that the 22-year-old was “very likely ” to move to Stamford Bridge.

But PSG have appeared on the scene, flush with money from the Qatar Investment Authority and with a new sporting director in Leonardo.

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini says Real Madrid, Malaga, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all battling to sign Javier Pastore.

Zamparini has previously said that Pastore, currently with Argentina competing in the Copa America, will not be allowed to leave for below £45 million. When asked where he thinks Pastore will end up Zamparini said:

“He will go to England or Spain, but I’d exclude Barcelona because they already have Andres Iniesta and Xavi in that position. The favourites are Real Madrid and Malaga. Manchester City are also interested in him, as well as Manchester United and Chelsea. I’m sorry to let him go, because he is the only world-beater that I have had at the club as president.”

PalermoDespite rumors about his potential departures, Palermo’s striker, Fabrizio Micolli looks set to stay at the Barbera for at least the upcoming season after the club’s president, Mauro Zamparini, confirmed the senior attacker’s future.

Zamparini revealed that although he is yet to discuss everything with Micolli, the patron believes once the talk everything will be sorted out easily especially considering the striker still has two years left of his contract with the Sicilian side.

Palermo Claim No Offers For Pastore

According to Palermo club President Maurizio Zamparini, the club has not received any offers so far for Argentina midfielder Javier Pastore. The highly-rated playmaker is a target of several top European clubs, with Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona reportedly all in the race to sign the 21-year-old who is valued at €50million.

“We haven’t even received half an offer for Pastore,” Zamparini told Corriere dello Sport.

According to Sky Sport, Pastore reveals the departure idea in an interview with Radio Fox Sport, stating that this year might really be the perfect time to take his career furthermore and depart from Renzo Barbera.

Coaching Carousel In Serie A

CarouselThe coaching carousel in Serie A continues with one coach leaving and two new ones being hired.

Leaving is Diego Simeone from Catania after just four and a half months in charge. Simeone kept the Sicilian side up in style and a club statement said he had achieved “brilliant results” but he has departed with his staff because of “international ambitions”.

Arriving is Stefano Pioli who has been named the new manager at Palermo following the departure of Delio Rossi. Pioli who guided Chievo to 11th place in Serie A before leaving the club earlier this week.
