Napoli’s title hopes are all but over after they shockingly lost 2-1 at home to Udinese.
Napoli, who had won their last four league matches to climb back into the title race, were undone by strikes from Gökhan Inler (55) and former Napoli forward Germán Denis (61). Although Giuseppe Mascara pulled a goal back in added time, Napoli’s night was summed up when Edinson Cavani’s penalty was saved by Samir Handanovič.

Eying to get back on winning ways after being held against Lazio in the midweek, Ac Milan disappointingly lose another ground in the competition after picking another draw against Genoa despite leading first through Alexandre Pato’s goal.

Having just officially announced as a Lazio player, Giuseppe Sculli will apparently get the chance to make his debut as soon as possible after the Biancocelesti coach, Edy Reja, revealed that Sculli will be starting from the bench. T

Two goals from Samuel Eto’o helped holders Inter MIlan to a 3-2 victory against Genoa and a place in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
Eto’o's first half goals put Inter 2-0 up, but Genoa cut Inter lead in half when Houssine Kharja’s scored from the penalty spot. MacDonald Mariga restored Inter’s two-goal lead from a corner. A late goal by Giuseppe Sculli made it a nervy final few minutes for the holders. Inter have no won three successive games since Leonardo took over for Rafa Benitez.

AC Milan extended their lead to six points in Serie A despite a 4-4 home draw with Udinese, though SSC Napoli will be hoping to close in on the Rossoneri when they host Juventus later.
Fans at San Siro were treated to an eight-goal thriller as Milan came from behind three times to force a 4-4 draw. Pato cancelled out Antonio Di Natale’s 35th-minute opener on the stroke of half-time only for Alexis Sánchez (53) and Di Natale (66) to put the visitors 3-1 up, but the hosts rallied through a Medhi Benatia own goal (78) and a second Pato strike (82). Genoa have agreed to sell Italy centre back Andrea Ranocchia to Inter Milan, giving new Inter coach Leonardo his first January signing.
The 22-year-old defender signed for Genoa from Bari in the close season in a part-ownership deal with Inter, who will now take his full registration for 12.5 million euros according to local media reports.
“On one hand I’m sorry to let a player like that go but, on the other hand, decisions have to be made,” Genoa president Enrico Preziosi, who last year sold Diego Milito and Thiago Motta to Inter, told reporters. “We can say we have found a mutually satisfactory agreement.” Read more... After their earlier planned strike was averted, Serie A players have once again stated that they intend to go on strike on the weekend of December 11th and 12th.
The strike will mainly be used to address disputes concerning player’s contracts. The Vice President of the players union confirmed the strike. The September strike was called off to allow for negotiations with the Italian Football Federation.
