Disappointed with the contribution of their Portuguese keeper, Eduardo, who has been sent to Benfica this summer, Genoa confirmed that they are seriously eying a new quality goalie for the new season and the likes of Sebastian Frey along with Salvatore Sirigu becomes the top candidates.
The revealing of those two names are more than just media speculation as the Griffonne’s president, Enrico Preziosi, already confirmed the club’s interest on the two keepers adding that one of them could arrive by the end of the week.

In a very twisted transfer saga, Italian international defender, Domenico Criscito, is finally leaving Genoa for Zenit St Petersburg’s instead of accepting Napoli’s offer, despite the latter being the player’s home town team.

After recently confirming that their star defender, Domenico Criscito, is allowed to leave the club int the summer, Genoa have now stated that the left back is very close in joining last season’s third place team, Napoli, after both parties agreed on the fee required.
The news was revealed by the Griffone’s president, Enrico Preziosi, who revealed that the Partenopei have agreed on paying 6 million Euro for Criscito in a co-ownership status and in the future the Southern Italian club can buy the other half for an already agreed amount. Lazio and Milan both scored four goals today on the way to recording impressive victories.

Substitute Giampaolo Pazzini scored twice in stoppage time as Inter downed Cesena 2-1 to keep their faint hopes of the Serie A title alive.

Having a very disappointing campaign this season with Inter Milan, Argentinian international, Diego Milito is recently being rumored by the Italian press to reunite again with his old club, Genoa.

Napoli’s title hopes are all but over after they shockingly lost 2-1 at home to Udinese.
Napoli, who had won their last four league matches to climb back into the title race, were undone by strikes from Gökhan Inler (55) and former Napoli forward Germán Denis (61). Although Giuseppe Mascara pulled a goal back in added time, Napoli’s night was summed up when Edinson Cavani’s penalty was saved by Samir Handanovič.

Eying to get back on winning ways after being held against Lazio in the midweek, Ac Milan disappointingly lose another ground in the competition after picking another draw against Genoa despite leading first through Alexandre Pato’s goal.
