As Roma’s new signing, Marco Borriello, made the headline after making a surprising switch from Ac Milan to the capital club just few hours before the transfer window closed despite being heavily linked with Juventus not long before that.
Revealing his decision to the press, Borriello stated that one of the main reasons he choses to play for the Giallorossi instead of Juve was because the persuasive text message send to him by Daniele De Rossi.
“I said no to Juventus because I am a sensible person and when I heard the President speak and I read the text message from De Rossi which gave me goosebumps, I immediately accepted,” Borriello said. “He text me to tell me to come here and ended with ‘we are going to win’.” Read more... Ac Milan made a surprising effort on the transfer market in the last weeks of the window as they not only managed to acquire Zlatan Ibrahimovic but also Brazilian star, Robinho, right on the last day of the transfer window.
The former Machester City’s man arrival was indeed a big surprise not only to the media and fans but also for Milan’s coach, Massimiliano Allegri, who didn’t even see it coming.
“I didn’t expect a reinforcement like Robinho. He is a player of great caliber,” Allegri said to the press. “We are talking about a wonderful present from Berlusconi, who I would like to thank again with my heart.” Read more... (315 words, 2 images, estimated 1:16 mins reading time)

The Champions League kicks off in less than 2 weeks and AC Milan have already named their squad for the prestigious tournament. The Rossoneri buoyed by the recent summer signings have named a squad without any major surprises.
The only notable absentee is USA defender Oguchi ‘the gooch ‘Onyewu. The defender made only one appearance for Milan last season after sustaining a knee injury while on international duty.
Following his injury, Onyewu decide to play for the Italian giants completely free for an entire season. Allegri kept faith with players who were supposedly out of contract and on their way out of the San Siro. Read more... (315 words, 1 image, estimated 1:16 mins reading time)

Many Milan fans are very excited that Galliani and Berluscni have finally heard their pleas and cries and signed players who could win them trophies. There is no doubt that the Rossoneri are looking very strong on all fronts this season, however, before writing off other teams, it is important to note that Inter Milan, Juventus, AS Roma and the chasing pack of Napoli, Palermo, Sampdoria Fiorentina, Genoa and Lazio won’t yield the title to Milan or any other team for that matter without a fight. I have always been a fan of Huntelaar and his departure from Milan is one of the down points for the Rossoneri this summer. However, if his leaving will open the door for Robihno, then in my case, it was good riddance.
Huntelaar is not only a top class striker but also one of the most talented players who have been taken for granted. The 26 year old Dutchman failed to excite in his first season with Milan because of inadequate exposure. Read more... (294 words, 1 image, estimated 1:11 mins reading time)

Ac Milan started their league campaign in a blistering pace as they demolished their opponents Lecce 4-0 with a wonderful performance especially by Ronaldinho and Alexandre Pato.
The “Duck” scored his first brace in Serie A this season and could have easily had two or three more goals, however Thiago Silva and Fillipo Inzaghi completed the job for the Brazilian striker. Read more... (494 words, 2 images, estimated 1:59 mins reading time)

The Italian Serie A season gets underway this weekend after a 3 month break with some very mouth watering fixtures key among them being the Udinese v Genoa, Fiorentina v Napoli and Sampdoria v Lazio matches.
This will however not be like any other previous season as the strategic buying that most clubs employed means that the league will be more competitive than previously thought. A good example would have to be Juventus.
While Inter still remain as favourites to repeat their epic treble, the Bianconeri cannot be ruled out especially after acquiring some very talented players. Milos Krasic, Simone Pepe and Leonardo Bonucci are just a few of these players. Read more... (381 words, estimated 1:31 mins reading time)

The dust on the UEFA Champions League Group Stages draw which was just held in Monaco a few moments ago is beginning to settle. Of course, the main talking point for the next 3 weeks until the season actually begins will be Group G the group of Death.
By the time i had turned on my computer, the 8 groups A-H, had already received two teams each from the various pots. My attention was quickly drawn to Group G where Milan and Real Madrid had been seeded for the second consecutive time. Read more... (281 words, 1 image, estimated 1:07 mins reading time)

Filippo Inzaghi’s sensational goal against FC Barcelona in friendly played yesterday at the Nou Camp was something to behold. Again, may be we were to quick to judge the Milan squad for being to old as Seedorf and Pipo linked well for a goal that could be in the running for the goal of the season.
Despite losing the match 3-1 on penalties, i was very impressed with the way Milan played and may be this could be the season that they win the scudetto.
