Milan might be leading the Serie A table, but one name is conspicuously missing from the Rossoneri’s recent successes. Ronaldinho has not played for Milan ever since their 2-0 loss at the hands of Real Madrid 3 weeks ago in the Champions League.
This of course raises concerns as to whether the play maker could be on his way out of the San Siro. Much to the disappointment of Rossoneri fans coach Allegri seems to have found a working formula that does not include Dinho or Pirlo.
Milan’s midfield now consists of Flamini, Seedorf, Abate and Robinho-depending on which formations Allegri uses. Seems like Milan’s old dogs like wine are getting better with every single game.
Putting last night’s derby victory into perspective Seedorf, alluded that winning the scudetto is much more important than their derby victory.
“At the start of the season, I said that we needed time to get to know everyone from the players and the coach,”
“When the results start to come your way, the confidence rises and we start to play better.
“We can only say that Milan are stronger than Inter at the end of the season. It is important to win the league, and not to determine who is stronger between the two sides after the Derby.”
Last night’s win ensured the Rossoneri returned to the top of the table just a point ahead of Lazio who were 2-0 winners over Napoli. Allegri and Milan owner Berlusconi have remain rather quiet following what was an impressive victory.
Which brings us back to whether Allegri is justified to leave out Ronaldinho despite him being fully recovered from his injury. A word of caution to all Milan fans though, its still very early to start celebrating. With only 12 games played, the league is far from over. One week and a couple of injuries is all it takes for a team to completely lose or turn around its fortunes.
