AC Milan boss says no more transfers this month

AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has said that Milan Rossoneri won’t be signing any other players during the current transfer window and plan to keep hold of want-away duo Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Kakhaber Kaladze.

“As far as the first team goes, the Calciomercato is over for us,” he told Sky Italia last night. “Are Kaladze and Huntelaar on their way out? I will meet with Huntelaar’s agent on Monday. He wanted to see me and that’s fine, but he already knows what my answer is. As I said, we consider the transfer market closed.”

Milan have re-signed David Beckham on loan from Los Angeles Galaxy and the midfielder debuted last night in a 5-2 thrashing of Genoa.

But Galliani also reiterated that their project to get youngeris in full swing and they have brought in 16-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Edmund Hottor from Triestina.

“We signed Beckham to play and he once again proved to be a great champion,” said Galliani. “He is very versatile and a great signing. As for Hottor, I can confirm he will be joining our Primavera side.”

If you are a Milan fan, what do you think of Galliani’s comments? Is AC Milan good enough to close the gap with Inter in Serie A and beat Manchester United in the Champions League with their current squad of players?
